Shiatsu Therapy

An image of the Shiatsu therapy symbol

Shiatsu therapy originated in Japan, and works as a holistic therapy (treating the whole person, not just the physical body). It supports and strengthens the body’s natural ability to heal and balance itself, and works with the person on a psychological, emotional and spiritual level.

Shiatsu means ‘finger pressure’ in Japanese, so it’s not too much of a leap to imagine what the therapy involves. A practitioner uses touch, comfortable pressure and manipulative techniques to adjust the body’s physical structure and balance its energy flow. It is a deeply relaxing experience and regular treatments can alleviate tension and physical discomfort for the maintenance of health and well being.

Shiatsu therapy is available to all our members so please get in touch if you would like to book an appointment.
